Job Description
The Waard Metals Production Operator is a full-time, hourly wage position working in the metal manufacturing facility using production equipment to produce metal parts to fulfill customer orders.

A Typical Work Week
- Operate metal production equipment (primarily a metal shear and benders)
- Quality checks to ensure parts are being made to customer specifications
- Order fulfillment – pulling inventory of accessories and pairing with metal to fulfill a complete order
- Perform routine maintenance on machines per maintenance schedule
- Execute shop 5S/cleaning system
- Priority to keep work area clean near machines being operated
- Second Priority is to help keep the entire shop clean and organized
- 5S assignments to come from Production Specialist or Operations Manager
Required Qualifications and Skills
- High school GED
- Ability to run metal manufacturing equipment (training will be provided)
- Experience with a metal shear, benders, and/or laser cutter is a plus (training will be provided)
- Follows instructions
- Comfortable using small power hand tools
- Ability to use measuring tools (tape measure, square, calipers, etc.)
- Adaptable with learning to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Comfortable to drive a fork truck (training and certification will be provided)
- Dependable and on-time
